PROPER SNACKS is seeking a Midweight Designer in London to join the in-house Creative team, contributing to packaging, campaigns, digital and brand projects while supporting the Senior Designer.

You should have 3–5 years of design experience, a sharp eye for typography and layout, and proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat and PowerPoint. The role is hybrid with three days in the office.

• Well-curated portfolio showing quality and strong design thinking.
• 3–5 years experience in a design role, agency or in-house.
• Excellent typography, layout and composition skills.
• Versatility across different design styles.
• Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat and PowerPoint.

• Support Senior Creatives to shape design direction across the studio output.
• Lead the execution and roll-out of the chosen design direction across all touchpoints.
• Own the day-to-day design and delivery of trade and in-store workstreams.
• Prepare polished, spec-ready design masters for handover to artwork.
• Sweat the detail on every execution, continually raising the bar of craft.
• Share your work and thinking in reviews, iterating on feedback.
• Work with the Ops Lead and Project Manager to plan workload and timelines.
• Support the Creative and Brand team to create decks that sell the vision.
• Stay curious and culturally connected, bringing references and inspiration to the team.

Why this role matters

Our in-house Creative team drives the pick-up appeal and cultural relevance of PROPER and Eat Real – from the packs on shelf to the campaigns, social and digital work around them. We're building out our permanent design team, and as our Midweight Designer, you'll be at the heart of the studio's day-to-day creative – working across packaging, campaigns, digital, B2B and wider brand projects, and supporting our Creative team on our biggest pieces of work. With big ambitions for both brands to be bolder and more distinctive than ever, this is a role for someone who loves variety, cares deeply about craft and wants to bring character and fun to everything they make.

What you'll be doing

• Support Senior Creatives and Designers to shape the design direction across the studio output, including campaign activity, social assets and new product launches.
• Lead the execution and roll‑out of the chosen design direction across all touchpoints.
• Own the day-to-day design and delivery of trade and in‑store workstreams.
• Prepare polished, spec‑ready design masters for handover to artwork.
• Sweat the detail on every execution, continually raising the bar of what best‑in‑class looks like.
• Share your work and the thinking behind it in creative reviews, taking feedback on board and iterating quickly.
• Work closely with the Ops Lead and Project Manager to plan your workload and keep timelines and approvals on track.
• Support the Creative and Brand team to create slick, brilliant‑looking decks that sell the vision and get our creative ideas over the line.
• Stay curious and culturally connected, bringing references, ideas and inspiration to the team.

About you

We'd love to see

• A well‑curated portfolio showing quality, creativity and strong design thinking – work with character, life, colour and fun will really stand out
• Around 3–5 years' experience in a design role, agency or in‑house
• A sharp eye for detail and craft, with excellent typography, layout and composition skills
• The versatility to flex your style across different types of design, rather than specialising in just one
• Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat, and confidence in PowerPoint

Bonus points if

• Packaging design experience – not essential, we'll help you learn
• Experience in FMCG or consumer brands
• Illustration or animation skills
