Job description

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Editorial Manager, as part of the Editorial arm of the Creative team, you will be responsible for writing engaging on-brand copy for global marketing materials across both digital and print. This includes emails, social media, editorial stories, film, product copy, website content pages, brochures, press releases, event invitations, point of sale, and packaging assets. You will also support the Senior Manager in creating brand-building, creative campaign copy, ensuring clear messaging hierarchy and consistency, as well as proofreading copy from internal stakeholders and third-party partners to ensure adherence to house style. Additionally, you will manage the Junior Copywriter, proofreading their work and developing their skills. The role is within the Editorial team, part of the wider Creative team.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with the Senior Editor to produce headlines and supporting copy for in-store POS campaigns, ensuring alignment with commercial briefs and reflecting the brand's luxury positioning.
  • Create persuasive, on-brand copy for digital and print marketing materials, adhering to tone of voice and guidelines.
  • Proofread copy from internal stakeholders and third-party partners, providing clear feedback on amendments.
  • Maintain and update all copy guidelines in collaboration with the Editor to ensure relevance, accuracy, and audience appeal.

What You Will Need

  • Excellent writing and copy editing skills, educated to Degree level (preferably in English Literature or Journalism).
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury retail/commerce brand or agency, with a background in beauty/fragrance being advantageous. Familiarity with social media platforms is preferred.
  • Organized, collaborative, proactive, with meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Strong time management and workload prioritization abilities are essential.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate impactful, original content.
  • Experience with content management systems, SEO, conversion-driven communication, and familiarity with using ChatGPT prompts for efficiency and A/B testing for marketing copy effectiveness.
  • A genuine passion for fragrance, skincare, and beauty, with awareness of industry trends, product launches, and innovation, providing ideas and perspectives to the editorial, creative, and digital teams.
