Job description

The role:

Reporting to the Senior Editorial Manager, as part of the Editorial arm of the Creative team, you will be responsible for writing engaging, on-brand copy for global marketing materials across digital and print formats. This includes emails, social media, editorial stories, film, product copy, website content, brochures, press releases, event invitations, point of sale, and packaging assets. Additionally, you will support the Senior Manager in creating brand-building, creative campaign copy, ensuring clear messaging hierarchy and consistency, as well as proofreading content from internal stakeholders and third-party partners to ensure adherence to house style. You will also manage the Junior Copywriter, providing proofreading, mentorship, and skill development. The role is within the Editorial team, part of the wider Creative department.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Editor to produce compelling headlines and supporting copy for in-store POS, aligning with the commercial brief and reflecting the brand's luxury positioning.
  • Create persuasive, on-brand copy for digital and print marketing materials, adhering to tone of voice and guidelines.
  • Proofread content from internal teams and third-party partners, ensuring it reflects the luxury brand positioning and guidelines, providing clear feedback on amendments.
  • Work with the Editor to keep copy guidelines relevant, accurate, and appealing to the target audience.

What you will need:

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a Degree in English Literature, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within luxury retail/commerce, agency, or related sectors, with a focus on marketing copy across various touchpoints. Experience in beauty/fragrance is a plus. Familiarity with social media platforms is desirable.
  • Highly organized, collaborative, proactive, with meticulous attention to detail and strong communication skills. Excellent time management and workload prioritization are essential.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate impactful, original content.
  • Experience with content management systems, SEO, conversion-driven communication, and familiarity with ChatGPT prompts and A/B testing for marketing effectiveness.
  • A passion for fragrance, skincare, and beauty, with a keen awareness of industry trends, product launches, and market innovations, contributing ideas and perspectives to teams.
