Job summary

The Royal Air Force Museum is seeking a skilled Project Accountant on a fixed-term basis for 18 months to support the Midlands Development Programme.

This part-time role (21 hours per week) focuses on robust financial reporting, forecasting and NLHF compliance, working closely with the Project Manager and internal finance teams.

Based at the Midlands site, the post offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a landmark museum development backed by the NLHF and Government support.

Qualifications

• Experience in project accounting and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of NLHF guidelines and reporting requirements.
• Ability to forecast and manage budgets for large capital projects.
• Experience working in heritage/public sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, monitoring and forecasting for the £30M capital project.
• Ensure NLHF guidelines compliance and proper documentation.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and internal finance teams.
• Provide timely updates and analysis to support effective decision-making.
• Support the Midlands site transformation as part of the programme.
