Job summary

Everton Football Club is seeking a Middleweight Designer for a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the Design Team across print and digital outputs. You will deliver high-quality artwork, adapt concepts for various platforms, and ensure brand guidelines are consistently applied.

The role requires strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, studio experience, and the ability to meet tight deadlines within a 35-hour week schedule, including matchdays as required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Experience in a studio environment.
• Educated to A level or NVQ in Graphic Design or equivalent.
• Degree in Graphic Design preferred.
• Good knowledge of artwork building techniques suitable for repro/print.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of design for digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Create and amend design concepts and artwork for print and digital platforms.
• Supply print-ready artwork for Club publications and external materials in the correct format.
• Work to time management and sign-off guidelines.
• Support the Design Team and assist in Club campaigns from concept to final execution across media.
• Ensure artwork complies with Club brand guidelines and correct discrepancies with Designers.

About the opportunity

Due to a period of Maternity Leave we are looking for a Middleweight Designer to join us on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

As Middleweight Designer you will assist the Design Team to deliver high quality creative across the Club’s departments and platforms.

The role will involve creating and amending design concepts and artwork for print and digital platforms whilst maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, productivity and attention to detail.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Working with briefs provided by the Head of Design and the Marketing team, supply print‑ready artwork for all Club and external publications in the correct format
• Working to time management and sign off guidance
• Supporting the Design Team, and assist in the creation of Club campaigns taking initial concepts through to final execution across all media
• Ensuring all artwork supplied complies with Club brand guidelines, highlighting discrepancies to Designers and Marketing team and correcting where necessary

Who we’re looking for

Essentially, we are looking for an individual who has strong skills acorss the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) and has experience within a studio environment.

Other Skills, Knowledge & Experience include:

• Educated to A level or NVQ in Graphic Design or equivalent
• Degree (or equivalent) in Graphic Design
• Good knowledge of artwork building techniques suitable for repro/print
• Good attention to detail
• Advanced Photoshop retouching skills
• An ability to work accurately under pressure to tight deadlines
• Knowledge of design for digital platforms

This role will be offered on a 12 month FTC working 35 hours per week (plus matchdays as required)
