Job summary

Atrium EMEA is seeking a Middle Office Operations Analyst in Manchester to support a large platform transformation, interacting with clients to resolve complex inquiries and transactions.

You will manage reconciliations, reporting and data maintenance across custodians, fund accounting and market data, with four days on site in Manchester and one day remote. PAYE/Umbrella options/Inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Experience in securities or financial services.

• Ability to reconcile complex multi-custodian transactions and respond to client inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple custodian bank reconciliations for cash and stock across accounting platforms.
• Provide daily and monthly reporting including positions, cash forecasting, and client reports.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders including custodians, brokers, and internal teams (derivatives, corporate actions, pricing).
• Research complex transactions and answer escalated inquiries.
• Maintain trade data and trade enrichment; manage market claims.
• Perform complex reconciliations analysis and resolve breaks; handle trade fails.
• Monthly end-client statement workflow and incident management.
• Identify issues affecting IBOR accuracy and escalate as needed.
• Participate in reconciliation across accounts for complex transactions.
• Interact with clients to resolve multifaceted inquiries.

Middle Office Operations Analyst - Manchester

Atrium EMEA is looking for an accomplished Middle Office Operations Analyst to join the Middle Office team and support on a large platform transformation project. You will regularly interact with clients to provide consultation and resolve complex inquiries and transactions. 4 days onsite work in Manchester/1 day remote. PAYE/Umbrella options/Inside IR35.

• Managing multiple custodian bank reconciliations for cash and stock across various accounting platforms.


• Providing daily and monthly reporting including positions, cash forecasting, month-end client reports, and ad hoc requests.


• Collaborating closely with global stakeholders including external custodians, brokers, and internal utilities (derivatives, corporate actions, recon support, pricing, transfer agency, fund accounting, and market FX).


• Conducts research to gather information on the most complex, multi-faceted transactions and provides answers to complex inquiries that have been escalated by lower levels.


• Responsible for or facilitating the maintenance of trade static data, trade enrichment, and trade exception handling and market claims.


• Responsible for the most complex reconciliations analysis (cash, asset, trade matching, and market value), break assignment, resolution of reconciliation breaks, and trade fails.


• Monthly end-client statement workflow, ad hoc reporting, and incident management.


• Identifies resolves and escalates any issues that affect the accuracy of the Investment Book of Record (IBOR) within the team.


• Exercises own judgement and collaborates with multiple internal and external stakeholders to resolve reconciliations of accounts for complex or atypical transactions.


• Regularly interacts with clients in answering questions and resolving multifaceted inquiries for complex transactions.
