ROLE SUMMARY:

King's InterHigh seeks a dedicated pastoral coordinator to support a Key Stage group. The coordinator will collaborate with leadership to develop and implement pastoral and academic support aligned with the school's strategic goals.

The main responsibilities include supporting leadership in developing robust pastoral and academic care, being the first point of contact for parents, and communicating effectively with families.

Location: UK or Middle East – remote from home

Start Date: August 2024

Salary Range: £34,500 - £40,950 per year

The role involves:

  • Monitoring student social, personal, and academic development
  • Coordinating with Deputy Head and staff to deliver high-quality pastoral curriculum
  • Supporting the school's identity and values
  • Monitoring student progress and wellbeing
  • Supporting tutors and providing leadership in student experience and key events
  • Developing strategies to improve academic outcomes, satisfaction, and retention

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exemplifying excellence in the classroom
  • Supporting staff wellbeing and pastoral care
  • Planning pastoral and co-curricular programs in line with policies
  • Acting as a role model and coordinator for teachers
  • Supporting students and colleagues, including curriculum enrichment and marketing activities
  • Strengthening home-school relationships
  • Handling escalations and ensuring responsive communication
  • Ensuring effective operation of the Key Stage group
  • Implementing intervention strategies and supporting student progress
  • Organizing workshops and external talks for parents
  • Collaborating with staff to support learning skills and behavior
  • Communicating with parents and undertaking additional duties as required
