A community school in Newport is seeking a Midday Supervisory Assistant to ensure the safety and welfare of pupils during the midday break. The role involves supervising students, maintaining a safe environment, and encouraging positive behaviours and eating skills. Candidates should have good relationship-building skills and a commitment to safeguarding. This is a part-time role of 10 hours per week during term time, offering a supportive work environment.

MIDDAY SUPERVISORY ASSISTANT – Based at our main site in Newport
Salary – Hay Grade 1 - £5,532 - £5,619 per annum (actual)
Hours per week – 10 hours per week, term-time only (38 weeks)
As an MSA, you will ensure the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the midday break period, in order to maintain a healthy, clean and safe learning environment for pupils and staff. Your role will include the supervision of pupils across school premises, laying up and clearing away of eating equipment and feeding individual children as required, whilst encouraging appropriate behaviours and eating skills.
