Dorset Council UK is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisor for its Wimborne and Colehill sites starting September 2025. The role involves ensuring pupil safety during lunch and providing support to young people, especially those with special educational needs. This position offers opportunities for further development and involvement in the educational environment.
We are currently recruiting to expand our staff team across all areas of the school and college. We are seeking an enthusiastic Midday Supervisor based at our Wimborne (College) or Colehill (School) sites with a positive attitude. This position is on a term-time basis, starting in September 2025.
The role includes ensuring the safety, welfare, and conduct of pupils during lunch, as well as cleaning and other duties in and around the classroom and hall between 11:50 am and 1:35 pm, five days a week. You will join one of our departments, allowing you to build strong relationships with pupils and staff. This role offers a great opportunity to gain experience in our school, especially if you're considering a future as a Teaching Assistant. Many of our midday supervisors work additional hours supporting teachers and TAs outside of lunchtime.
Ideally, you will have experience and confidence in supporting young people with SEND, including those with complex needs.
