Job summary

Avanti Gardens Primary School is seeking a reliable Midday Supervisor to support pupils during lunchtime, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and well-managed environment. You will help children engage in purposeful play and follow safeguarding policies.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patience, and strong health and safety awareness to protect students throughout the dining room, playground, and wet lunch periods.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• To supervise the children at all times during lunchtime on the school premises.
• Ensure that the children are behaving appropriately in line with the schools’ behaviour policy at all times including the dining room, playground and during wet lunch times.
• Engage with the children and ensure that they are active in purposeful and co-operative behaviour throughout the lunchtime period.
• In the event of any injuries or sickness making sure they are dealt with according to the school’s policy.

Grade: Grade 1, £25,784 per annum, pro rata. Approximately £5,499 per annum (0.21326 FTE)Please note: This role is part time working 10 hours per week

About The Role

We are seeking a reliable and responsible Midday Supervisor to support the health, safety and wellbeing of pupils at Avanti Gardens Primary School during the lunchtime period.

The successful candidate will help create a positive, inclusive and well-managed environment, encouraging children to make positive choices and engage in purposeful play.

This is an important role within our school community and would suit someone who is committed to safeguarding and enjoys making a positive difference to children’s daily experience.

What will you do?

• To supervise the children at all times during lunchtime on the school premises.
