Job summary

The Victory Academy is seeking a dedicated Midday Meals Supervisor to oversee students during lunch and maintain a calm, safe atmosphere. You will manage canteen entry and student movement, supervise duty points around the academy, and model respectful behaviour for staff and pupils during the lunch period.

The role requires excellent communication, strong rapport with students and staff, and a commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare during the school day.

Qualifications

  • Provide lunchtime supervision and ensure a calm, safe environment.
  • Organise entry to the canteen and supervise exit or movement around the area.
  • Model positive behaviour and support staff and students during lunch.

About The Role

We are recruiting an additional Midday Meals Supervisor to join our team supervising students during the lunchtime period and ensuring good standards of behaviour are maintained throughout the lunch period. The successful candidate will organise entry into the canteen, ensuring a calm atmosphere and supervise the students during their exit from the canteen, and will supervise duty points around the Academy. They will provide support where necessary, addressing issues calmly and politely and in doing so, being a role model to the students.

Successful candidates will;

  • have excellent communication skills
  • be able to build a rapport and relationships with students and staff
  • be responsible for the welfare and health and safety of students
  • contribute to the Academy’s responsibility for safeguarding students

Midday Meals Supervisors work 7.5 hours per week - 1 pm to 2.30 pm each day
