About the role

Due to recent new business wins with both new and existing clients, we’re seeking a PHP-focused Mid-Weight Developer. You will support projects alongside another developer, working on PHP-related tasks including Laravel and custom PHP, as well as third-party API integrations. If you enjoy managing multiple projects and priorities, this role is ideal for you!

About you

We’re looking for a talented developer to join our growing remote team. The must-have qualifications include:

• UK residence & fluent English
• Proficiency in semantic HTML
• Up-to-date skills in CSS best practices
• Strong knowledge of modern PHP, especially Laravel
• Experience with SQL databases
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with clients
• Demonstrated full-stack development capabilities
• Experience with Git repositories
• Passion for creating engaging, beautiful user experiences
• Comfort with using the CLI
• Self-motivation and ability to motivate others
• Open-mindedness and receptiveness to feedback

Preferred additional skills:

• Writing clean, well-structured code
• Understanding of DevOps, deployment models, and Docker
• Experience with JSON and APIs
• Familiarity with Laravel Livewire, FilamentPHP, AlpineJS, TailwindCSS
• Experience with TDD practices using PestPHP or Jest
• Ability to make confident, crucial project decisions
• Experience handling large, complex codebases requiring careful maintenance
