Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a well-established employer investing in its internal engineering capability. They are growing the software team and seeking a Senior Software Developer to drive development across a large-scale cloud platform used daily by thousands of users.

You will influence technical direction, work with modern technologies, and shape the product's future through collaboration, architecture, and best-practice processes in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience building applications using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Frontend development with React or similar frameworks.
• Experience developing cloud-hosted applications (AWS preferred).
• Experience with REST APIs and microservice architecture.
• Experience with SQL databases and data modeling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code.

Responsibilities

Following significant investment in digital transformation, they are growing their software team and looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to help drive the next phase of development across a large-scale cloud platform used daily by thousands of users.

The Role

This isn't a maintenance role.

You'll join a collaborative engineering team responsible for evolving a modern cloud-native platform, delivering new functionality, improving performance and scalability, and helping establish engineering best practice as the organisation continues to grow its internal capability.

You'll have exposure across the full development lifecycle, working closely with product stakeholders to solve real business problems while contributing to architectural decisions and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

You'll ideally have experience with most of the following:
