Job summary

Aviva is seeking a Mid Market Senior Underwriter for Property & Liability in Manchester. You will lead the underwriting team, oversee complex cases, and influence trading decisions while developing brokers and shaping underwriting strategy.

You will mentor underwriters to enhance technical capability and support licence progression, contributing to Aviva's ongoing competitive position and strategic goals.

A bit about the job

You'll lead our Underwriting team, making sure we deliver strong financial performance and great outcomes for our customers. You'll oversee complex cases, support trading decisions, and act as a technical referral point. You'll work closely with brokers to build strong relationships and help shape our underwriting strategy. You'll also coach and mentor your team, driving technical development and supporting licence progression. This role is key to ensuring we stay competitive and deliver on Aviva's strategy.

• Salary: £40K-£65K depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
