About the job

The significance of microservices and Kubernetes is experiencing exponential growth. We are looking for people enthusiastic about embracing these technologies and evolving alongside them. Within the team, there are different opportunities.

As a Kubernetes platform engineer, you will have a significant impact on the next generation of 'Miles enterprise suite'. Our software encompasses mid- and back-office functions for automotive finance, leasing, fleet, and mobility management. It consists of two parts: the 'Core', an ERP software, and the 'Microservices Platform', with additional functionalities and portals that interact with the Core.

Your focus will be on the Microservices Platform, specifically researching and implementing new tools and technologies to improve its setup.

This means you will:

  1. Research and experiment with modern technologies to keep improving.
  2. Set up Kubernetes Clusters through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Ansible).
  3. Automate deployments via the GitOps approach.
  4. Help educate colleagues within the team and project teams implementing the software.

Your interest and skills

Since the landscape is constantly evolving, the ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly is crucial.

Additionally, collaboration and communication are vital. You will work closely with team members, IT, and security, so everyone should be on the same page.

What else is expected:
  • SC clearance
  • A diploma in Informatics, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Experience with some of the following technologies:
  • Kubernetes (Azure Kubernetes Service or similar Cloud Kubernetes Services like EKS or GKE)
  • Terraform
  • Ansible
  • Jenkins, GitHub Actions
  • GitOps: FluxCD
  • Helm & Kustomize
  • Monitoring solutions: Prometheus, Grafana, FluentBit & Loki
  • Knowledge of database systems such as PostgreSQL, Oracle
  • Knowledge of Kafka, HVR, JBoss, Java, Python, Bash is a plus
  • Experience with at least one public cloud provider (Azure, AWS, etc.)
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
