We are hiring a Mid-Level Frontend Developer

Hybrid:Manchester based office Tuesdays & Thursdays

Salary:£40-45k, DOE

We’re looking for a Mid-Weight Frontend Developer who’s passionate about building beautifully crafted websites and creating digital experiences that are as intuitive as they are impactful.

For over 15 years, Project Simply has been the go-to digital partner for some of the world’s most exciting festivals, venues, and lifestyle brands. From IMG Models and The Warehouse Project, to D&G: The Tour and Emmaus UK, we’ve helped shape the online presence of names that live for making an impression.

You’ll be working with leading names across music, fashion, and events to create platforms that not only look great, but deliver real-world results. If the idea of crafting standout digital experiences for globally recognised brands (and seeing your work live out in the wild) gets you fired up, you’ll fit right in.

Bringing solid experience in WordPress and React, you’ll join a creative, collaborative collective in our NQ studio. This is a role for someone who takes ownership, solves problems with purpose, and stays curious about where frontend is heading next.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading frontend builds on a mix of exciting, design-led projects
• Flawlessly complementing creative with interactions and animations
• Working closely with designers and clients to bring ideas to life
• Owning retained client workstreams – including regular check-ins and monthly planning
• Helping to guide and support junior developers on the team
• Writing clean, modular, responsive code (with accessibility always in mind)
• Integrating third-party services and APIs when needed
• Contributing to internal tools, processes, and sharing knowledge with the team
• Staying up-to-date with modern frameworks, libraries, and best practices

What we’re looking for

• Around 2+ years of experience in a similar development role (agency experience is a bonus)
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, PHP and WordPress
• Comfortable working with REST APIs, Git/GitHub, and third-party integrations
• A solid grasp of accessibility, responsive design, and performance optimisation
• Some experience of backend development, including working with the WordPress query and REST API
• Good knowledge of Git / GitHub and working on multiple branches to deliver differing features
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Attention to detail, and ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• Strong familiarity with tools like Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations
• A proactive mindset – you don’t wait to be asked, you get stuck in
• You ask great questions, stay up to speed with what’s changing in tech, and genuinely enjoy figuring things out
• Someone who brings positive energy – you’re collaborative, easy to work with, and great to have in the room
