Job Description:
We are looking for highly motivated individuals to fill our industrial placement roles, requiring a high degree of customer focus and work performance to meet our operational challenges. If you are willing to commit to giving your best, Leonardo offers a rewarding working environment.
We seek talented, enthusiastic Science & Engineering students to help design Microwave/RF systems for high-performance Rx, Tx, and signal processing functions. You will gain valuable experience by joining our skilled team working on systems used in self-protection on fast jets, UAVs, land, and naval platforms.
You will develop lifelong skills in Microwave & RF design up to 40GHz, supported by world-class experts. You will use advanced software tools to create products like TRMs, Up/Down converters, and integrated RF & Digital boards, integral to high-performance EW systems.
You will assess your work in our well-equipped labs to develop robust designs suitable for harsh environments, ensuring reliability over decades. Your role may involve travel across the UK or abroad for technical reviews.
All industrial placement roles require a minimum predicted 2:1 degree in a relevant STEM discipline, including Physics, Applied Physics, Mathematics, Electronic Engineering, or related fields. We offer a modern, flexible working environment and will accommodate your personal needs wherever possible.
