Microvascular Surgery Clinical Fellow post (SpR / ST6+ Level) in Lower Limb Reconstruction

We wish to appoint 2 Clinical Microsurgical Fellows - Specialty Registrar Level in Plastic Surgery with a special interest in lower limb and microsurgery in general. One post holder will commence in February 2026 (on a 6 month fixed term contract) and the second post holder will commence in August 2026 (on a 6 month fixed term contract).

Expectations of the position - The successful candidate will be in year 7 / 8 of plastic surgery training (or equivalent), have passed FRCS (Plast) or equivalent and will have special interest in microsurgery reflected in the application form.

Expectations of the position - The successful candidate will be in year 7 / 8 of plastic surgery training (or equivalent), have passed FRCS (Plast) or equivalent and will have special interest in microsurgery reflected in the application form.

The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in teaching and to undertake clinical audit projects. The successful candidate will be expected to attend specialist clinics in ortho - plastic surgery.

This post is recognised for training by the Specialist Advisory Committee in Plastic Surgery and has Royal College Approval.

Candidates must have GMC registration that allows them to work in posts that are not recognised for training. It is essential that candidates have experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent.

  • Demonstration of involvement in clinical directorate management
