Job summary

Codec is seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Architect to join our team. This role is primarily remote with occasional travel, discussed at interview, and focuses on expert-level support, administration, and consultancy across SharePoint Server 2013/2016/2019 and SharePoint Online.

The successful candidate will design and optimise SharePoint solutions, work with stakeholders, implement migrations, and develop using SPFx, TypeScript, React, and Power Platform to deliver secure, scalable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on 5–8 years with Microsoft SharePoint architecture and administration.
• Experience with data migrations using Sharegate and similar tools.
• Proficient in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online).
• Scripting with PowerShell for automation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with SPFx development and modern web technologies.
• Familiarity with SLA-driven support environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex SharePoint and Microsoft 365 issues, perform root cause analysis.
• Manage SharePoint Server farms and on-premise site collections.
• Configure performance, security, and availability settings.
• Support migrations on-premises to SharePoint Online and tenant-to-tenant.
• Develop and support custom solutions using SPFx, TypeScript, React.
• Build solutions with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).

As we continue to experience rapid growth, we are seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Architect to join our team. This role is mainly a remote role with occasional travel, that can be discussed at interview.

The successful candidate will provide expert-level support, administration, and consultancy across Microsoft SharePoint environments both on-premises (SharePoint Server 2013/2016/2019 & Subscription Edition) and SharePoint Online. The role combines advanced troubleshooting and incident resolution with the delivery of enhancements and change for our customers.

Working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams, the consultant will ensure SharePoint solutions are optimised, secure, and aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Teams, and integrated systems; perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement permanent fixes.
• Manage and maintain (SharePoint Server 2013/2016/2019 & Subscription Edition), including site collections, permissions, content databases, and service applications.
• Configure, monitor, and optimise performance, security, and availability.
• Support migration projects (on-premises to SharePoint Online, tenant-to-tenant, or version upgrades).
• Develop and support custom solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), TypeScript, React, and modern web technologies.
• Build and maintain solutions using Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required skills & experience

• Minimum 5-8 years' hands-on experience with Microsoft SharePoint, including architecture, service applications, and administration.
• SP data migrations (experience of Sharegate - who also has good experience of PP/CE)
• Proficiency across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online).
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
• Experience working within ticketing systems and SLA-driven environments.
• 5+ years' experience with Power Platform technologies (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
• Experience with migration tooling such as Sharegate, AvePoint Fly, or LinkFixer Advanced.
