Job summary

Accenture in London is seeking a Data Engineer at Associate Manager level to design scalable data solutions and drive cloud transformation. You will work with Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Synapse, delivering end-to-end data platforms for major clients.

The role emphasizes leadership of engineers and collaboration with stakeholders, while advancing data governance and security practices in an agile environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies and data engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and/or Synapse.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python and PySpark is required.
  • Experience designing data lakes, lakehouses, data warehouses and data integration.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable data solutions using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Build data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions using Azure Data Factory, Databricks and/or Synapse.
  • Develop data processing solutions using SQL, Python and PySpark.
  • Design and optimise data lakes, lakehouses, data warehouses and data integration solutions.
  • Apply data quality, governance, security and performance best practices.
  • Lead data migration, modernisation and cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Manage delivery including planning, estimation, scope, risks, dependencies, quality and timelines.
  • Lead and mentor Data Engineers and technical teams.
  • Collaborate with architects, clients and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Drive Agile delivery, technical governance and production readiness

As a Data Engineer (Associate Manager), you will:

  • Design and develop scalable data solutions using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

  • Experience of data engineering experience with strong Microsoft data technology expertise.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and/or Synapse.
  • Strong SQL, Python and/or PySpark skills.
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake/OneLake, data modelling and ETL/ELT.
  • Understanding of data governance, security and enterprise data architecture.
  • Proven experience managing technical delivery and engineering teams.
  • Strong Agile, stakeholder-management and client-facing skills.
  • Relevant Microsoft Azure/Fabric certifications are desirable
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
