Workspace Group is seeking a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to join the Tech Team in London to support and evolve the organisation's data and reporting platform.

You will report to the Head of Data and AI and collaborate with the Fabric Platform Architect, Senior Data Engineer and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into practical technical solutions. A key focus is migrating existing data workflows from Azure Synapse and Power BI to Microsoft Fabric.

Qualifications

• Experience building data pipelines and models using Microsoft technologies.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, lineage and lifecycle management.
• Experience with data migration projects is a plus.

• Develop, maintain and optimise data pipelines and transformation processes using Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, and related Azure services.
• Support and improve reporting and analytics platforms across the business.
• Assist migration of data workloads from Azure Synapse and Power BI into Microsoft Fabric.
• Build queries, workloads, data and semantic models to deliver data products.
• Establish monitoring, logging and operational support processes.
• Produce technical documentation including designs, guides, deployment plans and SOPs.
• Ensure data quality metrics, contracts, lineage, governance and access controls are in place.

We are looking for a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to join the Tech Team to support and evolve the organisation's data and reporting platform.

We are looking for a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to join the Tech Team to support and evolve the organisation's data and reporting platform. Reporting to the Head of Data and AI, this newly established role will also work closely with the Fabric Platform Architect, Senior Data Engineer and cross-functional business stakeholders. You will support our day-to-day operational, reporting and analytics processes while partnering with stakeholders to translate their needs into practical technical solutions. A major focus of this role will be supporting the migration of existing data workflows and inventories from Azure Synapse and Power BI into Microsoft Fabric. Previous experience with the Microsoft Fabric platform and data migration projects is essential. What You'll Be Doing

• Developing, maintaining and optimising data pipelines and transformation processes using Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and related Azure services.
• Supporting and improving the existing reporting and analytics platforms used across the business.
• Supporting the migration of existing data workloads from Azure Synapse and Power BI into Microsoft Fabric.
• Building queries, workloads, data, and semantic models to deliver relevant data products.
• Establishing monitoring, logging, and operational support processes.
• Producing high-quality technical documentation, including solution designs, configuration guides, deployment plans, runbooks, and SOPs.
• Ensure solutions are designed with appropriate data quality metrics, data contracts, lineage, data lifecycle rules, access controls, and governance frameworks.

What You Need

• Strong hands-on experience building, maintaining and optimising data pipelines and data models using Microsoft technologies.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Fabric and data migration projects.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory and SQL Data Warehouse technologies.
• Experience with data governance, security, data quality, lineage and data lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps, Git and Infrastructure as Code.
• Good Power BI, semantic model and report development experience.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills

This role requires you to be in the office.
