Job summary

Hitachi Solutions Europe Limited is seeking a seasoned Technical Lead/Senior Developer for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform. You will lead the technical delivery, translate business needs into robust solutions, and contribute to commercial estimates.

You will also design pro-code components, manage ALM pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and mentor peers. A hybrid UK role involves client work and regular office visits.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership or senior developer experience with Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform.
• Strong coding skills in C#, .NET and modern web frameworks for customisations.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services and Dataverse integration.
• ALM/DevOps expertise and pipeline management in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Ability to estimate technical work for proposals and RFPs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day technical delivery of engagements as primary point of contact for the development team.
• Translate business requirements into functional technical solutions and hands-on implementation of Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform components.
• Contribute to commercial activities by providing technical estimates for SoWs and inputting into responses for RFPs.
• Design and develop high-quality pro-code solutions including PCF controls and Azure Functions.
• Own the implementation of AI and emerging technologies (Copilot Studio, autonomous agents) meeting requirements and delivering value.
• Manage ALM processes via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and supervise pipelines for deployment integrity.
• Conduct code reviews and QA to minimize technical debt and ensure coding standards.
• Mentor developers and consultants, sharing best practices and new features.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day technical delivery of engagements, acting as the primary point of contact for the development team and ensuring alignment with the Technical Architect’s design.


• Translate business requirements into functional technical solutions and lead the hands‑on implementation of Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform components.


• Contribute to commercial activities by providing accurate technical estimates for Statements of Work (SoW) and inputting into technical responses for RFPs, supporting the broader commercial process without holding primary responsibility for the final figures.


• Design and develop high‑quality pro‑code solutions, including custom plug‑ins, JavaScript frameworks (PCF), and Azure Functions, maintaining parity with architectural standards and ensuring robust, scalable code.


• Take full ownership of the implementation of AI and emerging technologies, including Microsoft Copilot Studio and autonomous agents, ensuring they meet functional requirements and deliver tangible value.


• Manage and execute Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, serving as the hands‑on administrator for pipelines to ensure smooth deployment and environment integrity.


• Conduct rigorous code reviews and technical quality assurance to minimise technical debt and ensure adherence to coding standards.


• Mentor developers and consultants within the practice, fostering technical growth and sharing knowledge on best practices and new features, operating as a technical guide rather than a direct line manager.

Qualifications

Key Competencies (Essential)

• Extensive experience in a Technical Lead or Senior Developer role, specialising in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform.


• Deep proficiency in C#, .NET, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks for complex customisation and PCF control development.


• Proven hands‑on experience with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Azure Functions) and their integration with Dataverse.


• Strong understanding of ALM and DevOps, with the ability to configure and manage pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.


• Experience contributing to commercial estimations and validating technical assumptions for project deliverables.


• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical implementation details to non‑technical stakeholders and clients.


• Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as PL‑400 (Power Platform Developer Associate) or PL‑600 (Power Platform Solution Architect).

Desirable Skills & Emerging Tech

• Practical experience deploying and configuring generative AI solutions using Azure OpenAI Service and Microsoft Copilot Studio.


• Proficiency in utilising AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance team velocity and code quality.


• Strong background in data migration strategies, including scripting complex transformations from legacy SQL or Oracle systems.
