Job Description:

The successful candidate is required to relocate to Bermuda. All relocation costs will be covered by the client.

Our client, a leading organization in Bermuda, is looking for a Microsoft Azure Engineer to join their Infrastructure & Support Team. This role is ideal for someone experienced in managing cloud environments and improving system security and efficiency. Reporting to the Assistant Director, you’ll focus on maintaining a secure, high-performing Microsoft Azure and Windows infrastructure, while offering second-level technical support when needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the main contact for Tier 2 technical support issues and resolving them quickly
  • Managing and optimizing the Microsoft Azure environment based on business needs and best practices
  • Recommending improvements to enhance productivity, reduce risk, and strengthen cloud performance
  • Maintaining and upgrading software, hardware, and network systems
  • Ensuring systems meet performance, security, and compliance standards
  • Supporting cloud-related projects and contributing to future cloud strategy and technology decisions
  • Working with other teams to identify and manage changes to cloud systems
  • Taking on additional tasks and projects as needed

What you’ll bring:

  • A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; additional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and Azure Security Engineer Associate are required
  • At least five years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support, with at least three years at a senior level working in a professional environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Windows systems
  • Experience with systems infrastructure, network design, and security best practices
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview is desirable
  • Knowledge of AI tools such as OpenAI and Copilot is a bonus
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others
