MICROSOFT 365 ADMINISTRATOR

Requirements:

We’re looking for a proactive Microsoft 365 Administrator to join our Global IT team. In this role, you’ll support stability, governance, and ongoing improvement of our Microsoft 365 environment, acting as the escalation point for M365 issues and helping drive modern workplace adoption.

You’ll support users across more than 40 global sites, including the UK, US, France, Italy, and India, and work closely with a Global Administrator to ensure alignment with tenant-wide policies and advanced configurations.

Objectives & Measurement:

Key Responsibilities including but not limited to:

MICROSOFT 365 ADMINISTRATION & SUPPORT
  • Resolve escalated M365-related tickets from local IT teams via Freshservice.

  • Manage user lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and license assignment.

  • Monitor and communicate M365 service incidents and advisories.

  • Perform regular tenant hygiene and compliance checks.

  • Stay current with Microsoft roadmap updates and recommend improvements.

  • Use Microsoft 365 Copilot to enhance productivity and support internal use cases.

  • Publish and monitor Copilot agents and connectors.

EXCHANGE ONLINE
  • Manage shared mailboxes, distribution lists, and Microsoft 365 Groups.

  • Configure delegated access, email forwarding, and mailbox permissions.

MICROSOFT INTUNE
  • Implement and maintain configuration profiles and compliance policies.

  • Develop and deploy remediation scripts.

  • Monitor and support Windows Autopatch.

  • Package and deploy applications.

  • Create and maintain Intune reporting dashboards.

ENTRA ID (AZURE AD)
  • Monitor and troubleshoot HR system sync and Entra ID Connect servers.

  • Manage Conditional Access policies and enterprise applications.

  • Configure SAML SSO for business applications.

  • Maintain dynamic groups and guest user hygiene.

  • Administer access exceptions and bypass groups.

SHAREPOINT ONLINE
  • Oversee lifecycle management of SharePoint sites and ensure governance compliance.

  • Supporting content updates to the global intranet.

MICROSOFT TEAMS
  • Assign and manage Teams Phone numbers.

  • Support and troubleshoot Teams Meeting Room devices.

MICROSOFT PURVIEW
  • Assist with eDiscovery, content searches, and compliance-related requests.

GOVERNANCE & CHANGE MANAGEMENT
  • Adhere to ITIL-aligned change management processes.

  • Document configurations, procedures, and knowledge base articles.

  • Assist in audits and compliance reviews related to M365 services.

  • Comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures, and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.

Measurements:

Performance in this role will be assessed based on the following key accountabilities:

  • Service Delivery:Timely resolution of Microsoft 365-related support tickets in line with agreed SLAs.

  • Platform Health:Completion of regular tenant hygiene tasks and proactive identification of issues.

  • Change Management:Adherence to change control procedures with minimal disruption to services.

  • User Enablement:Support for onboarding/offboarding processes and contribution to user adoption of M365 tools.

  • Collaboration:Effective coordination with the Global Administrator and other IT teams to ensure consistent service delivery.

  • Innovation & Improvement:Recommendations implemented that improve efficiency, security, or user experience.

  • Compliance Support:Timely and accurate support for eDiscovery, content searches, and audit requests.

  • Reporting & Insights:Delivery of relevant reports and dashboards (e.g., Intune, usage, compliance) to support decision-making.

  • Education/Experience: Must be educated to degree level in an IT related discipline.

Education & Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL
  • Proven experience administering Microsoft 365 in a global enterprise environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, Intune, Entra ID, SharePoint, and Teams.

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and governance features.

  • Familiarity with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell).

  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

DESIRABLE
  • Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Experience with:

  • Mimecast email security.

  • CodeTwo email signature management.

  • Power BI and Power Platform administration.
