Position Overview:
The role is to be part of a small team of microbiologists ensuring the compliance of controlled environments, ensure controls of manufactured products through bioburden and VD Max. Supporting site development projects by ensuring control standards are maintained. Embrace and drive convatec’s core mission, values and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure facilities, processes, personnel and materials/products are microbiologically tested in line with cGMP and procedural requirements
Provide microbiological support for Operations
Manage out of specification results, facilitate laboratory investigations and involve the site Quality Director where applicable.
Collect and trend data, react to trends and report to laboratory manager
Maintain laboratory metrics
Ensure compliance is maintained as directed by Notified Bodies regulations
Compliance with GMP requirements and uphold these standards
Compliance with EHS requirements and uphold these standards
Perform Environmental monitoring and routine product monitoring; bioburden, VDmax25
Seek and deliver CI opportunities across the site
Adhere to legal, corporate and site legislation
Maintain validation of Microbiology test methods,
Ensure maintenance of the operational equipment within the lab.
Maintain operational equipment within a validated state
To meet the safety, health and environment policy.
To keep information with respect to Convatec EHS policy and the regulations that support it.
To be aware of the risk on the workstation, reacting to them in proper way and communicating them to the responsible manager.
To support on the constant improvement on the EHS areas, doing recommendations on improvements to the responsible manager
Skills & Experience:
Experience of ISO11737, 11137,11135, 17665, Pharmacopeia's references
Understanding of GMP and Quality Systems in a regulated environment.
Qualifications/Education:
Educated to degree level, or equivalent, within a Microbiological discipline
Demonstrated experience within a microbiology laboratory
Dimensions:
Principal Contacts & Purpose of Contact
Internal – Quality management, Engineering and Manufacturing departments, Global Quality and Quality operations from different sites.
Working Conditions
Working in a Laboratory and clean room Environment as well as an Office. 9:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday. Each shift should include one 30-minute break starting between 12:00 and 12:30, which can be shifted slightly depending on laboratory/office practicality.
