2 Microbiologist Jobs Available1 x Permanent1 x 12-month FTCAre you looking for a Lab Based role? Do you have a scientific degree?A successful and expanding contract testing laboratory are seeking 2 Microbiology Technicians to join the team at their site in Hemel Hempstead. The company offer testing and analytical services to the food industry. There is one permanent and one 12 month FTC available. Hours are 37.5 per week , Thursday-Monday (usual Shift times 10-6 or 9-5)This would be an ideal role if you are a graduate of a relevant scientific discipline and you have some previous working experience (working experience does not have to be scientific/ lab based, any working experience will be considered)Role Overview

  • Prepare samples and reagents for laboratory testing
  • Perform extractions and minor Analysis of samples as required
  • Provide support in the Instrument room as required and under the supervision of Senior Staff.
  • Ensure all work areas are kept clean and tidy and well stocked of Lab consumables
  • To ensure all work is conducted in line with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and UKAS 17025.
Requirements
  • Education in a Scientific Discipline such as a Degree in a relevant discipline would be highly beneficial.
  • Some prior full time working experience (from any industry) is essential.
  • Excellent Communication Skills and Attention to Detail.
  • Proactive and analytical approach to work.
  • Available to begin immediately and able to commute to site in Hemel Hempstead
