Job summary

A premier innovative biopharmaceutical company is seeking a Microbiology Team Leader for their Wokingham site on an initial 6-month contract. Responsibilities include providing high-quality customer service, overseeing laboratory analyses, and ensuring data integrity. The ideal candidate has a Degree or PhD in a relevant discipline, along with 3+ years of experience in a GMP Pharmaceutical Microbiology environment. This role offers a salary of £20.94 per hour and is a full-time position, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Experience in line management of at least 1-2 people.
  • Good understanding of lab equipment and the ability to conduct chemical analysis independently.

Job description
Overview

CK Group are recruiting for a Microbiology Team Leader, to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry, at their Wokingham site, on an initial 6-month contract basis (temp-to-perm possible).

Salary: £20.94 per hour PAYE.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00, 36 hours per week, Thurs-Monday.

Microbiology Team Leader Role
  • Provide high quality customer service by ensuring effective organisation of assigned workload, integrity of analytical data generated & timely/accurate provision of results.
  • Performing data review of junior staff’s analyses.
  • Perform a range of routine and investigative analysis using independently and provide interpretation of results generated as required.
  • Perform method development, transfers and design validation protocols with support.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the instrument and lab systems including, checking and approving supplier’s reports.
Your Background
  • Educated to Degree or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent relevant experience in Laboratory is required.
  • 3 Years + in a GMP Pharmaceutical Microbiology Environment – with testing and data review responsibilities
  • Line management experience of at least 1-2 people.
  • Good understanding of lab equipment is required.
  • Scientific understanding and ability to independently conduct chemical analysis in relevant area is required.
  • Good verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate with client’s and colleagues is required.
