Job Description:

Andersen Caledoniais a fast growing life sciences company specialising in sterilisation and laboratory testing for the medical device, pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic and driven to join our microbiology laboratory department located in Dunston, Staffordshire ST18 9FJ

Normal Working Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 09:00-17:00

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Assist the laboratory management in all aspects of compliance with relevant technical and quality standards in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017
• Perform routine microbiological and chemical analysis & the associated tasks in accordance with the relevant standards and published company SOPs

Responsibilities:

• Perform microbiological & chemical testing using a variety of analytical techniques in accordance with the relevant standards and SOPs
• Ensure the correct documentation is in place for all samples received to facilitate accurate and timely processing
• Prepare and publish customer reports and provide follow-up customer support where necessary
• Prepare media & perform Media QC
• Carry out goods received procedures
• Perform IQC according to the accredited IQC Procedure and periodic EQA as required
• Ensure that all calibration, daily checks and maintenance are performed in line with company procedures and UKAS accreditation
• Facilitate the day-to-day operation of the lab as well as specific test requirements in response to customer demands

Qualifications:

Experience:
