Job summary

Dundee locum Biomedical Scientist position in microbiology with Your World. Band 6, pay £32-£33 per hour, duration 6 months, starting ASAP. Eligible applicants should be a qualified Biomedical Scientist for a microbiology role in a hospital-style lab.

Shifts are Monday–Friday 09:00–17:00. The client offers CPD support, training, and dedicated payroll/compliance assistance through Your World.

Qualifications

• Qualified Biomedical Scientist with microbiology experience.
• Band 6 level or equivalent and locum flexibility.
• Experience with bacteriology tasks and laboratory IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Processing of positive Blood cultures
• Storage of isolates on beads
• Processing organisms for EUCAST
• Processing organisms for Vitek
• Reading of urines using chromogenic agar
• Use of Winpath enterprise Laboratory IT system
• Use of BacTAlert / Virtuo
• Vitek 2 AST

This Microbiology BMS Dundee position is suitable for a qualified Biomedical Scientist to apply on a locum basis to start as a locum with a pay of £32 - £33 P/H.

• Description: Experienced Specialist Biomedical Scientist to cover specific tasks within the Bacteriology laboratory.
