SGS is seeking a Microbiologist I in the UK to work independently on assigned microbiological projects, analyzing raw materials, finished products, and waters. You will document data, report findings, and stay current with microbiological standards and literature.

The role requires 1-2 years of sterility experience and BS in Microbiology or related sciences. Responsibilities include preparing media, conducting analyses per recognized compendia, maintaining records, and ensuring quality assurance

Qualifications

• BS degree in Microbiology or related sciences.
• 1-2 years of sterile/sterility experience.
• Ability to document data and report findings.

Responsabilités

• Prepares media and reagents for microbiological analyses.
• Conducts analyses per USP, EP, ASTM, AOAC, FDA, EPA procedures or client procedures.
• Schedules analyses to meet deadlines while ensuring quality.
• Maintains aseptic techniques and follows laboratory SOPs.
• Performs quality assurance tasks including calibration of equipment and documentation.
• Records data and uses LIMS for data entry and tracking.
• Documents activities in accordance with cGMP.
• Maintains orderly work area.
