SRG are recruiting for a Microbiologist to join the quality team at a major supplier of medicinal & Life Science products. Working alongside the quality team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality & safety of products via microbiological testing.

The Role:

Alongside the Senior Microbiologist, you will be responsible for routine, microbiological analysis of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products. Key duties will include:

  • Timely analysis of incoming sample to allow the on-time release of products.
  • Performing environmental analysis, including air, surfaces & water to ensure the sterility of manufacturing environments.
  • Supporting the development, validation and optimisation of microbiological testing methods.
  • Ensuring GMP compliance within the laboratory.

Requirements:

  • A degree, or similar qualification or experience in Microbiology, biology or a relevant field.
  • Proven experience within a GMP microbiology laboratory with an understanding of aseptic techniques, & environmental monitoring.
  • Proficiency in Microbiological QC analysis, such as; sterility & endotoxin testing, microbiological identification & antimicrobial effectiveness testing.
  • Experience of method development & validation would be advantageous.
