A leading healthcare provider is looking for a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or Assistant Psychologist to join their Mental Health Treatment Requirement Service. This role involves assessing and delivering therapeutic interventions for individuals with psychological needs. The position offers flexible working arrangements and requires travel across various settings in Cumbria. Ideal candidates will possess a relevant degree in psychology and experience in therapeutic practices.
We are seeking a dedicated Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or Assistant Psychologist to join the newly established Mental Health Treatment Requirement Service (MHTR), which is part of the wider Forensic Community Services across Lancashire and Cumbria.
Location: This position will primarily cover Cumbria.
Working Patterns: Flexible working arrangements will be considered.
Role Overview: The post involves working with individuals convicted of offences linked to unmet psychological needs. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, formulations, and delivering low-level therapeutic interventions targeting issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, and learning difficulties. The role requires evaluating the effectiveness of interventions.
Work Settings: The post holder will work across various settings, including Local Magistrates and Crown Courts, health, social care, and probation premises within North Cumbria. Travel is essential, and domiciliary visits may be required, demanding a flexible approach to facilitate sessions in different environments.
