Job Opportunity: Band 4 Assistant Psychologist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to work within the Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service (EHWS), Fenland Mental Health Support Team (MHST) within Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust.

The Assistant Psychologist role does not require professional registration, only an undergraduate psychology degree.

The EHWS supports children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, within the 'Getting Advice' and 'Getting Help' quadrants of the Thrive Framework, working closely with schools and colleges.

This post will be based at The New Horsefair Clinic in Wisbech, covering the Fenland area in Cambridgeshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with psychologists and clinicians to support the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people across Fenland.
  • Support audits, research, data analysis, and evaluations.
  • Lead small projects to support service development.
  • Work clinically with children, young people, their families, and school staff.
  • Gain experience in delivering cognitive behaviour therapy informed guided self-help and other group-based interventions.

Please note, the post holder must be able to travel long distances across two counties, often at short notice.
