Compensation: £33,451 - £41,480 / year

Position details: Permanent, 35-hour week, starting August 2025.

To contribute to achieving excellence in teaching and learning through innovative and excellent practice. You will create effective and stimulating learning opportunities for all students through high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment, making the subject content relevant and current with a strong link to employers and the local economy. Responsibilities include monitoring student performance, supervising, motivating students, and delivering GCSE, AS, and A Level English at the Clarence Street Campus. Applications from NQTs are welcomed.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent in Scientific or related field.
  • Recent teaching experience with 11-18-year-olds.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Experience in curriculum planning and delivery in Business.
  • Knowledge of BTEC and/or A Level specifications.
  • CPD engagement.
  • Level 1 Literacy/Numeracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to set high standards.
  • Experience with ICT in teaching.
  • Student-centered teaching approach.

Desirable:

  • Teaching qualification.
  • Understanding of ALPS and value-added measures.
  • Curriculum development experience for employer training.
  • Experience with BTEC verification and standardization.
