Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Car Sales Executive to join our MG Dealership in Solihull.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team ahead of our new dealership opening in June / July 2025. MG is one of the fastest-growing automotive brands, with an extensive list of new models lined up for release. The successful candidate will be joining this exciting journey.

You will be working Monday to Saturday, with a day off in the week, and Sundays on a rota basis. You will get one Saturday off per month to enjoy a full weekend off on the rota. Hours are 8:30 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm on Saturdays, and 10 am to 4 pm on Sundays.

Benefits include the use of a company car and an OTE of £55,000.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Sales Executive with Listers, you’ll ensure that every customer feels valued by understanding how our vehicles fit into their lives. Your goal is to match customers to the right car, with the appropriate features and add-ons, and to provide a seamless process from financing to contracts, ensuring total customer satisfaction.

  • Build trust, communicate effectively, and exceed customer expectations through qualification and creating a positive first impression.
  • Maximize opportunities through prospecting, follow-up calls, inbound inquiries, walk-in prospects, and internet inquiries.
  • Achieve monthly KPIs for unit sales, profit per unit, finance penetration, and add-on products to maximize profit.
  • Adhere to FCA and data protection obligations by accurately collecting customer contact and vehicle data to enhance the customer database.
About You
  • This role may suit individuals with experience as a car sales executive, retail manager, or sales manager.
  • You should demonstrate an ability to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Ability to quickly establish rapport with customers.
  • Potential to build a successful career in the industry.
  • Valid UK driver’s license is required.
  • Experience in motor trade, automotive, or car dealership is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
