Contract: Fixed Term – One Year (with potential for extension to a permanent contract)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, hardworking, and talented Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages specialising in French to join a large, thriving, and successful primary school in Hounslow. This vibrant school, born from the amalgamation of two outstanding institutions, is seeking a dedicated professional to join its passionate teaching team from September 2025. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality French lessons to pupils in Years 3 to 6, playing a key role in enriching the school’s MFL curriculum. This is a fantastic chance for a dynamic teacher to lead and develop the MFL provision across the school, inspire a love of languages, and contribute meaningfully to the cultural and academic growth of pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Teach French across the primary phase, ensuring lessons are inclusive and meet diverse learning needs.
  2. Lead the MFL subject across the school, including curriculum development, resource management, and innovation in teaching practice.
  3. Participate actively in continuing professional development (CPD) and whole school development.
  4. Foster an appreciation for global citizenship and multicultural understanding through language learning.
  5. Uphold the school’s positive ethos and core values within and beyond the classroom.
  6. Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and governors to support the wider school community.
  7. Meet the national conditions of employment for school teachers.
