This is afull-time, long-term positionideal for a teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons inFrench and/or SpanishacrossKey Stages 3 and 4. The school welcomes applicants with a single or dual-language specialism and is particularly keen to recruit a teacher who values cultural education alongside academic progress.

The school has a strong languages department and actively promotes modern languages as a gateway to opportunity, encouraging pupils to develop both communication skills and cultural awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in French and/or Spanish to students in KS3–KS4
  • Prepare pupils for assessments and GCSE examinations in line with exam board criteria
  • Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills with a focus on fluency and accuracy
  • Use creative teaching strategies to enhance engagement and cultural immersion
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, providing feedback to support development
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment clubs, language-themed events, or international trips

Candidate Requirements:

UK QTS or equivalent, with a recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching French and/or Spanish in secondary education
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the current MFL curriculum
A commitment to inclusive teaching and raising pupil achievement across all abilities
Effective classroom management and communication skills
A positive, professional attitude and willingness to collaborate as part of a successful team
