Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an MFL Teacher to work across a range of secondary schools in Middlesbrough. You will deliver engaging language lessons in French, Spanish or German, plan across KS3/KS4, with KS5 encouraged, and provide constructive feedback to pupils.

QTS or QTLS is required, with strong subject knowledge and a proactive attitude. The role offers flexible patterns (full-time/part-time/short-term), competitive daily pay, and access to Tradewind's CPD resources and support.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS (or strong FE teaching experience with language delivery).
• Experience teaching MFL in a secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for language education.
• Proactive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach.
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Two professional references covering the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver MFL lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 advantageous).
• Teach one or more languages (French, Spanish, or German).
• Create engaging and interactive lessons to develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Differentiate activities to support students of all abilities.
• Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
• Encourage cultural awareness and positive attitudes towards language learning.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Work collaboratively with department staff and pastoral teams.
• Support intervention sessions or enrichment where required.

About the Role:

As an MFL Teacher, your responsibilities may include:

Requirements:

• QTS or QTLS (or strong FE teaching experience with relevant language delivery)
