Job summary

Smile Education are seeking an MFL Teacher for a secondary school in Wolverhampton. The role involves planning and delivering engaging MFL lessons across KS3/4, with potential GCSE teaching.

You will foster a inclusive classroom environment that promotes language learning and cultural awareness. The ideal candidate will be an MFL teacher with UK secondary experience, able to teach French, Spanish or another language, and possess a solid knowledge of the MFL curriculum and GCSE requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching MFL in UK secondary schools.
  • Ability to teach French, Spanish or another Modern Foreign Language.
  • Strong knowledge of the MFL curriculum and GCSE structure.
  • Experience delivering GCSE MFL is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality MFL lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Create an inclusive, engaging learning environment that promotes language skills.
  • Differentiate and adapt lessons for SEND and other needs.
  • Assess students, provide marking and feedback to support progress.
  • Collaborate with MFL department to drive department success.
  • Support student development through positive relationships and high expectations.

Smile Education are currently recruiting for a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join a secondary school in Wolverhampton.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging and purposeful MFL lessons.

  • Teaching a Modern Foreign Language across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at GCSE level.

  • Creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages communication, cultural awareness and a passion for languages.

  • Differentiating and adapting lessons to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and other additional needs.

  • Assessing, marking and providing constructive feedback to support student progress.

  • Working collaboratively within the MFL department to contribute to the continued success of the faculty.

  • Supporting the wider development of students through positive relationships, high expectations and effective classroom management.

  • Encouraging students to develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing in their chosen language.


The School Are Looking For


  • MFL ECTs or fully qualified MFL Teachers.

  • Experience teaching MFL within UK secondary school classrooms.

  • The ability to teach French, Spanish or another Modern Foreign Language.

  • Strong knowledge of the MFL curriculum.

  • Experience teaching GCSE MFL and familiarity with relevant examination boards.

  • A calm, professional and engaging classroom presence.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to inspire enthusiasm and confidence in language learning.

  • Flexibility, reliability and a genuine passion for supporting student progress.

  • A commitment to creating a caring, inclusive and positive learning environment.
