Job description

French Teacher – Manchester – September start

A dedicated and passionate MFL Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Manchester, near Oldham, starting in September until the Christmas break. You will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 & 4 classes.

This full-time position is five days a week and is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers. Applicants must have a valid teaching qualification. The role involves teaching French and Key Stage 3 Spanish.

You will be expected to integrate fully within the department and school, attend departmental meetings, be available for parents’ evenings, and plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge students. You will also mark work and provide feedback regularly.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

• Degree educated with a good classification
• Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, QTS, etc.)
• Previous experience working with young people (reference available)
• Experience teaching in a secondary school (reference available)
• Up-to-date safeguarding training (issued within the last year, training can be provided)
• Up-to-date Prevent awareness training (issued within the last 3 years, training can be provided)
• Up-to-date behaviour management and FGM training (training can be provided)
