Job description

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented MFL Teacher to join our vibrant languages department from September2025.

The successful candidate will be passionate about language learning and committed to delivering high-quality teaching of [French, Spanish, or German] across Key Stages 3 and 4. There may also be the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced applicants.

Duties MFL Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging and progressive MFL lessons that foster language acquisition and cultural awareness.

• Assess, track and report on pupil progress using school assessment systems.

• Promote a love of languages and encourage pupils to become confident communicators.

• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities, including trips and language-themed events.

• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and expectations.

• Work collaboratively within the MFL department and the wider school community.

• Take part in school duties and participate fully in the life of the school.

Ideal MFL Teacher:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

• Have a strong academic background in one or more modern foreign languages.

• Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skills as an MFL Teacher.
