Job description

MFL Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a full-time MFL Teacher in Hull, starting from 2nd September 2025, initially until October half term 2025. This temporary role covers a planned absence, with potential for extension. Payment aligns with the main teaching pay scale, between £31,650 and £49,084, subject to updates in pay scales for the new academic year. The role may also be available on a part-time basis, so candidates interested in part-time work are encouraged to apply.

The position involves teaching MFL to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, with some potential Drama teaching if of interest. Full planning and marking are required; however, a resource bank is available to minimize planning workload. The school prefers candidates who can teach French to Key Stage 4 and, ideally, Spanish to Key Stage 3, though this is not essential.

Located in Hull, the school is accessible via car and public transport, with ample onsite parking. Known for its excellent reputation, the school is part of a small local academy trust. Successful candidates may have opportunities to work in other local schools within the area.
