Job summary

A leading education recruitment agency is seeking an enthusiastic MFL Graduate Teaching Assistant for a secondary school in Birmingham starting September 2025. This full-time position offers an opportunity to gain invaluable classroom experience, supporting students in French and/or Spanish lessons. Ideal candidates will have a 2:1 degree or above in a relevant subject and a passion for language learning. Competitive weekly compensation between £500–£570 is available.

Your Role as an MFL Graduate Teaching Assistant

You’ll support students in a range of language lessons (primarily French and/or Spanish), helping them to develop their confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting students during class, helping them to understand vocabulary, grammar, and cultural content
• Delivering one-to-one or small group interventions for students who need extra help
• Assisting teachers with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and resource development
• Promoting a positive learning environment that encourages language use and cultural curiosity
• Helping with revision sessions, exam preparation, and assessment support
• Building strong relationships with students to support their confidence and progress
