Job summary

Barclays is seeking an MFA Onboarding Analyst to articulate IAM Standard MFA requirements to senior stakeholders and guide application teams through the integration journey. You will join a vast professional network, collaborating with industry mentors and experts.

This role is based in our Knutsford office. Key focus areas include managing large remediation programs, leading cross-functional projects, strong stakeholder engagement and developing MFA onboarding strategies.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing large remediation programs across hundreds of applications and multiple delivery teams.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects with application owners, infrastructure, security and business stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior technology and business levels.
  • Experience developing MFA onboarding strategies, integration patterns and future-state authentication roadmaps.
  • Ability to drive outcomes in complex environments with clear communication and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to plan and implement IAM solutions including authentication, authorization, access management and SSO.
  • Develop and maintain IAM policies, processes and standards aligned to security and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct IAM audits to ensure compliance and identify risks.
  • Investigate IAM-related security incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify emerging IAM technologies and trends and share best practices across the organization.
  • Develop IAM governance documents and reports to ensure policy adherence.

To be successful as a MFA Onboarding Analyst, you should have the following essential skills:

  • Experience managing/driving large scale remediation programs involving hundreds of applications and multiple delivery teams
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-faceted cross-functional projects involving application owners, infrastructure teams, security architects, and business stakeholders.
  • Ample stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and challenge senior technology and business leaders.
  • Experience developing MFA onboarding strategies, integration patterns, and future‑state authentication roadmaps.
  • Ability to drive outcomes in multi‑faced environments through effective communication, negotiation, and executive‑level reporting.
Some Other Highly Valued Skills May Include
  • Experience supporting regulatory remediation projects, control uplift programs, and compliance‑driven security projects.
  • Familiarity with authentication modernization projects.
  • Ample understanding of IAM governance, risk management, control frameworks, and audit requirements.

Purpose of the role

To manage and implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, processes, technologies and standards for all IAM functions to ensure the secure access and use of sensitive information across the organisation.

Accountabilities
  • Collaboration with stakeholders and IT teams to understand, analyse and implement IAM solutions into the banks process and infrastructure needs including authentication, authorisation, access management and single sign‑on capabilities.
  • Management and development of policies, processes and standards for all essential IAM functions aligned to the banks security and regulatory requirements.
  • Execution of IAM audits to monitor processes and ensure that they comply with policies and regulations and identify potential security risks.
  • Execution of incident investigations to respond to IAM related security events, identify the root cause of the incident and implement corrective measures efficiently.
  • Identification of emerging IAM technologies and industry trends by collaborating with networks and conferences to gain IAM expertise and best practice.
  • Development of IAM governance documents and reports to align the implementation and adherence of policies across the organisation.

  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
