Qualifications

  • HND/Associate’s degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in metrology or instrumentation in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
  • Strong understanding of calibration standards, measurement uncertainty, and traceability.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements including GMP, FDA, ISO 9001/17025.
  • Proficiency with calibration software and electronic documentation systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
  • ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT).
  • ISO 17025 training.
  • Familiarity with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation issues.
  • Support validation and qualification activities.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for calibration services.

  • Ensure all work is performed in a cleanroom or controlled environment.
  • Assist in the development and revision of calibration procedures.
  • Train staff on proper equipment handling.

Job description

Work with our Quality & Engineering teams as a Metrology Technician at our Haverhill manufacturing site to play a key role in ensuring all instruments are compliant with regulatory standards and internal quality systems, supporting manufacturing, laboratory, and facility operations.

This is an essential role as the Metrology Technician is responsible for the calibration, maintenance, and documentation of measurement and test equipment (M&TE) used in a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Your Responsibilities

You will:

  • Perform calibration, verification, and maintenance of laboratory and production equipment in accordance with GMP and ISO 17025 standards.
  • Maintain accurate and complete calibration records in compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and company SOPs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation issues to minimize downtime and ensure process continuity.
  • Support validation and qualification activities for new equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for calibration services and ensure proper documentation.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing metrology documentation and support.
  • Ensure all work is performed in a cleanroom or controlled environment following safety and contamination control procedures.
  • Assist in the development and revision of calibration procedures and work instructions.
  • Train manufacturing and laboratory staff on proper equipment handling and calibration awareness.

Our Requirements
