Our Advanced Materials client are seeking a Metrologist to join their fast growing organisation. Your primary responsibilities will be to operate automated metrologyequipment to inspection high performance components. You will work within the inspection team to ensure the efficient and accurate execution of this process. Your attention to detail, and commitment to quality will be critical in producing high-quality components.
You will work closely with the engineering and operations teams, and report directly to the Metrology Manager.Training will be provided as required.
Responsibilities Programming and operation of X-ray Computed Tomography Equipment Adherence to, and upkeep of XCT health and safety requirements and documentation Support project teams throughout product development Maintain accurate logs of measured parts Support and organise equipment maintenance and tool calibration to retain traceability Share knowledge with metrology team to enhance overall team capabilities Fixture design and 3D printing for CT Scanning
Essential
2 years experience using XCT equipment/ software ( Waygate Technologies, Phoenix Datos X, Volume Graphics)- Machine specific training provided where required Experience in non-destructive testing, material characterization, dimensional metrology Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals Organised and able to work independently, but also to collaborate with a diverse, fast-moving team Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn new skills High level of attention to detail Interest in working in high-accuracy engineering environment
Desirable Radiation Protection Supervisor training (RPS) Experience in the following fields:o CMM Programming (Renishaw, Modus)o GOM (GOM/ Zeiss Inspect Pro)o Optical Profilometer (Alicona) Computer coding/ data analysis skills Ability to read engineering drawings Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Knowledge of statistical process control Willing to work flexible hours if required
