Metrologist - Coventry, UK

Are you an experienced Metrologist looking for a new opportunity? My client is seeking a skilled professional to join our UKAS-accredited laboratory in Coventry, where you will be responsible for the calibration and certification of Dimensional Measuring Equipment and Reference Masters in line with approved procedures.

As a Metrologist, you will ensure precision and accuracy in dimensional measurements, maintaining high standards of inspection and calibration. This role involves working both on-site and at customer locations, providing expert support and ensuring compliance with industry requirements.

Key Skills & Responsibilities for the Metrologist job:

1. Perform calibration and certification of dimensional measuring equipment
2. Maintain accurate records and administrative reports
3. Apply inspection techniques to support customer applications
4. Work independently, representing the company at customer sites
5. Ensure compliance with approved laboratory procedures

Key Requirements for the Metrologist job:

1. Mechanical engineering qualifications, apprenticeship, or relevant experience
2. Strong knowledge of dimensional metrology and industry-specific terminology
3. Experience in standards room or gauge inspection techniques
4. Good communication, organisational, and IT skills
5. Self-motivated, well-organised, and eager to learn
