A leading engineering company based in Coventry is seeking a Metrologist to undertake calibration and certification of equipment. Job description

The company was founded in 1934 in Japan and has grown to have a global presence in over 40 countries worldwide, serving a wide range of industries including automotive, aerospace, medical, and more.

As a Metrologist, you will be based at the Coventry Laboratory and be required to undertake calibration and certification of Dimensional Measuring equipment and Reference Masters in line with the laboratory's approved operating procedures. You will also maintain administrative reporting and accurate records.

What we would like from the Metrologist:

• Have relevant mechanical engineering qualifications or experience, or have undertaken an appropriate engineering apprenticeship followed by substantial experience in standards room and/or gauge inspection techniques.
• Have experience of inspection techniques to relate to customer applications; this is essential.
• Have an in-depth knowledge of terminology specific to the industry.
• Be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of dimensional metrology.
• Be able to work independently, with good communication, organizational, and IT skills.
