Job description

Our Client are currently looking for a Water Meter Technician in the Scunthorpe / Gainsborough area.

37 hours per week - choose your own hours between 06:30 to 20:00.
Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 14:00 on Saturdays.
Full training given.

What you'll be doing:

As a Meter Technician, you will manage your own workload, allowing you to take charge of how you work and choose your own hours with the support of a big organisation behind you. Your day-to-day activities will include:

1. Obtain accurate readings from water meters.
2. Carry out meter exchanges (full training will be provided).
3. Collect meter data.
4. Provide excellent customer service to their customers.

What does it take to be successful?

Experience in retail or hospitality while being on your feet would be great! As well as:

1. Customer-focused individuals.
2. A professional image is very important - we will provide you with a uniform and van.
3. The role can be physically demanding as you will walk in the region of 3 to 8 miles per day.
4. You will also use a handheld computer to carry out your work, so basic IT skills are required.
5. A Full UK driving licence.

Hours

You are responsible for organising your own time and have the flexibility to plan your own day to meet the meter reading targets. Working a 37-hour week, your hours are flexible between the working window of 6:30 to 20:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 14:00 on Saturdays. This includes early morning starts and late evenings until 8pm as this is when our customers are most likely to be at home.
