Overview

We are hiring Full Time Meter Readers in your postcode now!

Role: Meter Reader (gas and electricity only) - no experience is required. Full-Time - Working close to home, no experience is required!

Do you like working in an active outdoor role? If yes, this could be the role for you.

Responsibilities

• Collect data from gas and electricity meters for commercial and residential properties. Update meter reads accurately on a handheld device at each location and provide excellent customer service.
• Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment. Retrieve data from domestic, commercial, and industrial sites for gas and electric meters. Charge point surveys.
• Drive and stay motivated to work independently. Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines.

What you will need to apply (Essential requirements)

• UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points
• Physically fit to bend, lift, kneel, climb stairs, crouch, and walk on average 4-5 miles a day
• Happy to work in all weather conditions
• Clear DBS check (no unspent convictions)
• Access to your own vehicle and business insurance

What we offer

• £12.60 - £13.00 per hour basic pay (weekly payment)
• 37.5 hours per week with flexible start and finish times Monday - Friday between 8am - 8pm
• £27,000 to £30,000 average annual earnings
• Weekly bonus scheme up to £200
• Overtime rates at manager's discretion
• Business expenses reimbursed at 30.05 pence per mile
